Mid Murray Support Service – April Update
At Mid Murray Support Service, we continue to be blown away by the kindness and generosity of our community. A big thank you to St. Martins Lutheran Church – Mannum, who have once again donated two more boxes of non-perishable food items to support those doing it tough. Every donation makes a real difference and helps us offer support to more people across the region.
We’re also excited to share that our team is growing! As we continue to expand our services and reach, we’re grateful for the support of our local community in helping us connect with more people in meaningful ways.
Our Social Support Group activities are as popular as ever, and it’s no wonder with such a fantastic mix on offer! Whether you’re into movement or creativity, there’s truly something for everyone. Some of our regular activities include:

Diamond Art
Monthly Bus Trip
Create with Clay
Fun with Friends
Lunch at The HUB
BINGO …and many other ad hoc activities sprinkled throughout the month.
Everyone is welcome to get involved, and our friendly team is here to help you find something you’ll enjoy. Please note: a funding stream may be required to access subsidised activities with a small contribution fee. Where no funding is applicable, full costs may apply. Spots are limited for some activities, and eligibility or availability is not guaranteed, so we encourage you to contact The HUB to enquire and register your interest as early as possible. We’re proud to say that February was our biggest service month in MMSS history, delivering a whopping 2,517 hours of service – and that’s not even counting kilometres travelled or meals provided! This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust our clients place in us.
If you've recently been advised that your Home Care Package has been assigned, come and chat with our Home Care Package Team. We’ll walk you through how your package can work for you and what MMSS can offer. And if you're considering changing providers, we currently have capacity and would love to help. Pop in or give us a call on 08 8569 1832– one of our friendly staff members will be happy to discuss your needs.
We also provide services under the NDIS, and if you or a family member has a plan and is struggling to find the right provider, MMSS might be the perfect fit. You’re always welcome to visit us and have a chat about what we can offer.
And don’t forget – big changes are coming to the aged care system. Support at Home will soon replace the current Home Care Package model. If you’d like to understand how this might impact you or someone you care for, give us a call to make a time to speak with one of our team members.
Over at Scrooges Country Treasures, things are buzzing! We’re so grateful for the continued support from our donors—the quality donations we receive go a long way in helping us raise vital funds to support those in need within our community. Thank you for giving with such generosity and heart.

TIP: With the 3G network shut down across Australia, it’s a great time to check that your mobile phone is compatible with 4G or 5G. If you’re not sure, ask a friend, family member, or pop into your local phone provider to avoid disruptions to your service.
